The Castagni is surprisingly accessible, being delicious when young although it will also develop well in bottle over 5-10 years, and offers great value for the quality: lots of typical dark morello cherry and forest fruit, sweet spice and leather with a more savoury, smoky finish and firm but rounded tannins.
