Finch's Line, Hillstops Shiraz, 2009

Finch's Line produces small batches of handcrafted wine from selected, old vineyards, through the Hunter Valley. However in 2008, due to a 'challenging' harvest, a decision was taken not to produce any Hunter Valley red wine under the Finch's label. Instead, a miniscule amount of high altitude, low-yielding fruit from the Hilltops region was used to make 700 bottles of intense Shiraz. A wine that combines spice, blackberry and blood plum flavours that along with refined tannins and supporting acidity, ensuring freshness and longevity.
